Art Therapy through the Lens of Human Givens
This presentation, delivered at the Human Givens Conference (2024), explores how art therapy can be understood within the Human Givens framework as a practical, needs-based approach. It highlights how creative modalities can reduce emotional arousal, strengthen internal resources, and support the meeting of unmet emotional needs through sensory engagement, metaphor, and focused attention.
